Our Story
Continental Diamond is a locally owned, family business that has served the Twin Cities for over 25 years. Beginning in a small apartment in Uptown with a single showcase, Continental Diamond has grown into Minnesota’s Premier Jewelry Store and was voted one of the “Coolest Store's in America” by In-Store magazine. We were the first jewelry store in the Twin Cities to grade diamonds by the four C's: Color, Clarity, Carat Weight, and Cut. Our knowledgeable staff makes it a point to educate our customers while providing value, quality and renowned customer service.
The Continental Diamond team provides each and every one of our customers with a very unique and personal shopping experience specifically tailored to the individual’s desires. Whether you decide to visit our showroom or “Ask Helain” on our website, we go the extra mile to ensure that your shopping experience and more importantly, your occasion is one to remember!
Our full-service jewelry store includes the on-site expertise of two GIA Graduate Gemologists, Seven GIA Diamond graduates, three master goldsmiths in our in-house repair shop, a watch specialist and a career jewelry sales team. Owners Jimmy and Helain Pesis hand-select each item they sell, from small diamonds to large diamonds, cutting-edge fashion jewelry that is hot off the runway to some of the finest timepieces on the market. Continental Diamond owns the largest selection of diamonds in the Twin Cities, allowing customers to see, touch and feel their diamond before making a commitment. Owning our diamond inventory allows us to purchase at the best price and thus pass that savings along to our valued customers.
Continental Diamond is dedicated to supporting our local and national non-profit community through widespread philanthropy. We are proud to align ourselves with hundreds of charitable organizations each year, including, but nowhere near limited to; St. Judes Research Hospital, Children's Cancer Research Fund, The Boys and Girls Club, Make a Wish Foundation, Rainn, United Hospital Foundation, American Diabetes Association, Families of SMA and Oprah's Angel Network.
When Jimmy Pesis is not buying and selling diamonds he's busy perfecting his fishing skills. Having grown up in the land of 10,000 lakes Jimmy has had ample opportunity to explore its abundance of fishing holes. Jimmy landed this 44" Muskie on Lake Minnetonka on Aug. 7, 2006.
