The Super Chronomat B01 44
The Super Chronomat is inspired by the original 1980s Chronomat that Breitling created for the most daring aerobatic squadrons. The boldest of all Chronomat watches, the super Chronomat features several ceramic inserts—on the bezel, on the chronograph pushers, and on the crown—as well as a Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap. It’s an all-purpose sports watch that’s just as at ease at the gym as it is at a gala.
The super Chronomat comes in several color and metal variations, from stainless steel to 18 k red gold, and ultra-lightweight titanium. It either features the iconic rouleaux bracelet or a rubber rouleaux-inspired strap, matched with a folding clasp. The super Chronomat B01 44 is powered by the Breitling manufacture caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
The Chronomat holds a significant place in Breitling’s history. Introduced in 1984, at a time where extra-thin quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling placed a bold bet on an impressively proportioned mechanical watch.
Based on the Frecce Tricolori watch, which had been developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the famed Italian aerial squadron, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling’s centenary in style and marked the return of the mechanical chronograph to its rightful place at the brand which had built its global reputation on these incredible watches.
Available in a variety of materials including stainless steel, 18 k red gold, and titanium, the Chronomat features a 42 mm case and instantly recognizable bezel with its four rider tabs at the 15-minute marks. Available with a range of colorful dials, the Chronomat is matched to the signature Rouleaux bracelet in metal or rubber. True to the original, the Chronomat is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
